Who can buy a Youth Pass?
You can travel with a Eurail Youth pass if you are 25 years or younger. This age limit counts for your first day of travel. In other words, if you are still 25 years when you order the Pass but already 26 years when you start traveling, you are not entitled to use a Youth Pass.
Which Youth Passes are available?
Nearly all Eurail Passes are available as a Youth Pass:
- Global Pass
- Select Pass: 3 Countries, 4 Countries or 5 Countries
- All Regional Passes, except:
- Portugal-Spain Pass - All One Country Passes, except:
- Czech Republic, Finland, Portugal and Spain
All Youth Passes are available in second class only, with these exceptions:
- Greece Pass: 1st class only
- Poland Pass: 1st class + 2nd class
- Romania Pass: 1st class only
How to order a Youth Pass?

On the Pass page of your choice, you can select Adult, Saver or Youth by clicking one of the tabs. You then see the prices for the selected Pass type. Click Buy Pass! to go to the shopping cart. Please note that not all Passes offer Youth or Saver options.
Second Class
Eurail Youth Passes entitle you to rail travel in second class (with the exception of the One Country Passes Greece, Poland and Romania which also offer first class Youth Passes). If you are younger than 26 years and you prefer to travel first class, you should buy a Eurail Adult Pass.
Youth or Saver Pass?
If you travel with a group of two or more people that are 25 years or younger, we advise you to buy Youth Passes. A Youth Pass is usually cheaper than a Saver Pass. Furthermore you are more flexible during your trip. With a Saver Pass, everyone must travel together. With a Youth Pass, you have the option to travel individually.
Children
Children who are younger than 12 years on your first day of travel, can use a Child Pass, which costs 50% of the Adult fare. You can select a Child Pass in the Shopping Cart after you click Buy Pass! on the Pass page of your choice.
The age limits may vary for some One Country Passes, check the page of the specific Pass for the precise conditions. Children under 4 years of age can travel for free, unless a reservation for a separate seat/bed is required.
